Timo Marks is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Die Schuhleister GmbH & Co. KG. He comes from a Management Consulting background. He has worked with several European organizations including Arvato, which is a global service company. He recently finished his doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kassel. He is also a professor at the Fresenius International Business School in Cologne, Germany. He enjoys watching or playing football on his free time.
Joshua Meskemper is in operations and product development. He has over 4 years of experience in Sports Technology, where he specialized in adaption of technology to the functionality of the human body. He studied at the German Sports University Cologne. He enjoys his free time with his family and likes to participate in endurance sports.
Christin Grube is the Head of Business Development. Before joining the Schuhleister team she was a consultant for Ernst & Young, where she specialized in market research for the retail sector. She has several years of experience in Enterprise and Market Development of New Markets from her own entrepreneurial endeavors. She has a Masters from the Grenoble Graduate School of Business in Innovation Management. She enjoys her free time reading.
Patricie is our Strategic Marketing Manager and she is a part of our international business development team. She is responsible for running our marketing campaigns and contributes to our team with her creativity. She is from Prague, where she also graduated from the University of International and Public Relations. She loves photography, especially when it involves traveling.
Luke Morrison joined our IT team as the lead developer. He is a Software Engineer from Canada who specializes in vectorial web graphics, and backend data. Luke interned at Google OpenSource as a server developer and 3x at Microsoft (Operating Systems & Security in Seattle, Washington) as technical lead and remains active in the startup community in Cologne. Luke went to the Pirate Summit and decided to cancel his ticket back to Canada to take a chance in Germany. In his free time he enjoys learning German, traveling and making new friends in Germany.
René Schürmann supports the technical team. He is a business engineer and studies Human Technology in Sports and Medicine at the German Sport University Cologne. Where he gets a detailed insight in the relation of human body and modern technology. In his free time he enjoys playing and watching football and spending time with his friends.
Andrés is our Strategic Sales Manager. He comes from Colombia where he graduated as an Industrial Engineer at Javeriana University. Before joining Die Schuhleister family he did a Master in Business Development at Grenoble Graduate School of Business in France. He has several years of experience in process optimization and business development. At Schuhleister he focuses on developing new markets, with special focus on the Spanish speaking market. Andrés loves traveling and experiencing new cultures. He has lived in Colombia, India, France, Luxembourg and now Germany.
Luise is responsible for customer care and strategy implementation. At Die Schuhleister she contributes with her experience in reducing complexity and bringing customers’ needs into focus. She has 4 years of experience working for Roche in the field of Sales and Finance. Her academic background is in Business Administration (Diploma) and Sustainable Development (Master).
Luise loves spending her free time seeking remote spots in and around Cologne with her family and endeavouring a sustainable lifestyle.
Tim Engels supports the team with his skills in Supply Chain Management. He recently graduated from University of Applied Sciences Fresenius with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. His areas of specialization are International Management and Total Quality Management. Moreover, he has participated in the EFQM-Journey to Excellence Training and is a qualified EFQM-Assessor. In his free time he does a lot of sports especially playing golf, field hockey and tennis.
Nadya Jelil is supporting the operations team specializing in our digital last making process. Before joining the Schuhleister family she worked in shoe design. She recently finished her studies at the Schuhfachschule in Pirmasens, Germany where she specialized in industrial shoe building. She enjoys here free time reading, or singing and dancing with her friends.
Werner Sibla is the head of our physical division. He is behind every decision connected to shoemaking and shoe design. With his 20+ years experience as a master shoe maker he brings an important expertise from the shoe industry and craftsmanship to the team. Previously he worked for big names such as Dinkelacker and established his own shoe brand. From his perspective the Soul of the old shoemaker´s art shouldn't be forgotten in this age of cold technology. Thus, the symbiosis between high tech, data, modernity and technology, and on the other side, classic, style, fashion, shapes, lines, and feel is an environment he loves working in. The one thing he can't live without is his family who are located in ``Schwabenland``.
Christopher is our Operations Manager. Before joining Schuhleister, he worked in orthopedic industry. He is very well experienced in this area and he continues developing orthopedic shoe technology with us. He graduated of the Meisterschule of Orthopedic Shoe Technology in Düsseldorf, where he received his master degree. In the free time, he enjoys cooking and chilling with his friends and family.
Heike takes a significant part in our production department. She focuses on Physical last making and Quality control. After 7 years of being self-employed, she was looking for a new challenge and with Schuhleister she says she found exactly what she was looking for. She was born in beautiful Rheinland where she got her apprenticeship as a warehouse clerk. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and bike riding. She loves dogs and she is part of the local rescue dog team.
Julian Gauder is a supporting member the technical team. He is a technical product designer and mechanical engineer. Primary he works as a scientific assistant at the institute for tooling and manufacturing technology, where he is responsible for 3d-printing. This makes him an ideal support for Die Schuhleister in technical belongings and in product development. In his free time he is studying to get his masters in Technical Management.
